Not special. Not “art”

One of the things that irk me the most is when an egotistical business owner or entrepreneur says “I’m the only one who can do ____ correctly. You can’t hire for that.”

It bothers me because I’ve said and believed that before myself too.

But I was wrong.

The truth is, in a world of eight billion people, I’m not the only person who can fulfill a role.

Yes, you’re special and I’m special. You are the only YOU here.

Our mothers weren’t wrong about that 😉

But in the world of business, we’re not special and it’s foolish and costly to think you’re the only one who can accomplish something.

What you do may feel like an art, but if you break it down far enough the components can be taught and mastered by others.
