Be What You Want Your Team To Be

As children we didn’t understand the phrase “Do as I say, not as I do” so why do we think it works now?  If you are looking for lasting change in your team, lead from the front.  Set the example in your team that you want to see.  I’ve learned most of what I know from watching successful people act it out.  We only retain a small portion of what people speak to us, yet repeated life examples from others stick with us, both good and bad.

Doing The Same Thing And Expecting Different Results?

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”  ~ Albert Einstein

As many times as we have heard this quote, we still forget and lazily think that we can get different results out of the same old actions.

If showing up a little late every day hasn’t made you more successful so far, then it certainly won’t change the result tomorrow.

We rarely ever realize in the moment how powerful our words can be. Today a friend of mine said something so encouraging that I will remember it for a long time. Probably years. I am fairly certain that they have already forgotten what they said.

Looking back over the few years I’ve been on this planet I realize that it has been those small moments that have mattered the most to me.

Today you may have the opportunity to say something kind or encouraging. Don’t pass that opportunity up. The smallest moments often matter the most.
